Busan, November 2025 – PT Napindo Media Ashatama (Napindo), a leading trade exhibition organizer in Indonesia, will promote the Indo Fisheries 2026 Expo & Forum at the Busan International Seafood & Fisheries 2025, taking place from November 5 – 7, 2025, at Exhibition Center I, Hall 1-3 Bexco, Busan. The presence of the Napindo team in Busan is a strategic move to expand networking and attract international participation ahead of the main exhibition in Indonesia next year.
As the 16th comprehensive technology exhibition and forum in the fisheries and aquaculture sector, covering cultivation, feed, seeds, fish health, cold storage, and food processing, Indo Fisheries 2026 will be held concurrently with the Indo Livestock, Indo Feed, Indo Dairy, Indo Agrotech, and Indo Vet 2026 Expo & Forum from June 16 – 18, 2026, at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) PIK 2, Tangerang, Indonesia. Participation in BISFE 2025 is a strategic step to reach potential participants from various countries and to introduce the great potential of Indonesia’s fisheries industry.
“We want to establish Indo Fisheries as a strategic platform to expand business networks and drive the growth of Indonesia’s marine and fisheries sector to a global scale, while simultaneously strengthening national food security,” stated Lisa Rusli, Asst. Project Director of Napindo.
The Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, continues to encourage Indonesian shrimp to go global and become the preferred source of global protein through the development of the Regional-Based Shrimp Cultivation (BUBK) model across various regions. In its report, the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries noted that the development of cultivation areas in Kebumen and Waingapu, East Nusa Tenggara, implements modern cultivation practices that are environmentally friendly, efficient, and have a traceable production chain, while also strengthening the competitiveness of national fisheries products in the world market.
The success of the BUBK model in Kebumen is a tangible proof of the progress in Indonesia’s aquaculture sector. As of mid-2025, the area has harvested 327 tons of vannamei shrimp from 139 pond units on a 65-hectare land. The entire cultivation process is carried out under the standards of Good Fish Cultivation Methods (CBIB), is antibiotic residue-free, and implements strict biosecurity and waste management principles.
This step supports KKP’s vision in implementing the concept of Sustainable Blue Food to reinforce national food security. As conveyed by Dr. Tb Haeru Rahayu, Director General of Aquaculture at the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, “through the downstream program and the implementation of the blue economy, Indonesia is now recognized globally as one of the producers of sustainable fishery commodities.”
Through Indo Fisheries 2026, Napindo reaffirms its commitment to be a strategic platform for the growth of the Indonesian fisheries and aquaculture industry to be more competitive in the global market. The exhibition is expected to bring together over 600 exhibitors from 40 countries, including 12 country pavilions, with a target of 20,000 visitors comprising business people, innovators, policymakers, academics, and researchers.
This event will be a crucial momentum for industry players to explore investment opportunities and study the latest innovations and technologies in cultivation and seafood processing.
